Established in 1977, our client is a leading European contract manufacturer of high quality fine chemicals for use in the Crop Protection, Pharmaceutical and Speciality chemicals markets.
An excellent opportunity has now arisen for a Quality Control Analyst to join them at their site in Seal Sands, Middlesbrough. You will provide a comprehensive analytical service, testing products and raw materials as scheduled by the QC coordinator in line with customer demand and business requirements.
Reporting to the Quality Control Manager, you will generate, interpret and report on analytical data to support services, providing accurate and timely analytical support to both internal and external customers whilst ensuring all laboratory paperwork is completed on time and in full. Maintaining laboratory equipment (including calibration) and maintaining stock levels of reagents and consumables, you will ensure that all Health, Safety and Environmental requirements are met including (but not limited to) workplace organisation, work instructions, risk assessments, and control, COSHH assessments, housekeeping standards in accordance with GLP and GMP.
In order to be successful in this role, you will possess a Chemistry (or very closely aligned subject) degree with experience as an analyst in a fine chemical or pharmaceutical industry role. HPLC and GC experience is also essential, whilst experience of working in a GMP environment and method development would be an advantage.
With and understanding of chemical analytical methods, specifications and related documents / publications, you will have strong attention to detail, great planning and organisational skills and the ability to think creatively.
