GTS was established in 1967 for the supply electrical laminates and heat activated adhesive tapes to the flexible printed circuit industry.
We have since become one of Europe’s leading and most progressive designers and manufacturers of flexible circuit materials and adhesive coatings with a reputation for quality, reliability and durability.
GTS materials, supplied worldwide, have unlimited applications including flexible printed circuitry for use in the electronics and automotive industry. Other uses are within aviation, military and aerospace, data and communications, insulation and the sports and leisure industries.
The sole manufacturing unit of GTS has been based in Rassau Industrial Estate, Ebbw Vale since 1991, with subsidiary offices in France, Germany and the USA servicing its wide export business requirements.

Stores Operative (1 vacancy) based at the Rassau Plant. Vacancy will be permanent subject to a satisfactory 6 month probationary period.
Successful candidate will be required to
- Ensure correct raw materials are issued to the correct production areas
- Accept raw materials and finished goods surplus to production back into stores
- Ensure correct handling and storage of material
- Accept and check deliveries from suppliers
- Pack material from production for orders
- Enter relevant data onto computer system
- Drive fork reach truck and counter balance truck
Candidates must be able to work on their own initiative, be computer literate and ideally will hold a current accredited reach fork truck and counter balance truck license. Previous Store experience would be an advantage.
Hours
This permanent vacancy will be for a position on alternative weeks of day shifts and night shifts after training.
Hours of work:
- Day Shift: Monday to Friday: 7am to 5pm (40 hours + 5 hours overtime)
- Night Shift: Monday to Thursday: 5pm to 5am (40 hours + 4 hours overtime)
Each shift has a 60 minute unpaid lunch break period. During busy periods there is also opportunity for additional overtime.
Salary
During the probationary period (day shift)
40 hours paid at basic rate = 40 x £7.50 = £300.00
5 hours paid at rate x1.5 = 5 x £11.25 = £56.25
Total for probationary period = £356.25 paid weekly before Tax/NI.
Night shift payment will be reduced by one hour of overtime as outlined above. However an additional night shift premium is also paid for each night shift worked
After Probationary training period (day shift)
40 hours paid at basic rate = 40 x £7.94 = £317.60
5 hours paid at rate x 1.5 = 5 x £11.91 = £59.55
£377.15 paid weekly before Tax/NI
As above, night shift payment will be reduced by one hour of overtime but the night shift premium is also paid
