About us

Bath Spa University's vision is to be a leading educational institution in creativity, culture, enterprise and education.  With innovative teaching and learning, focussed research excellence and state-of-the-art facilities, we put our students at the very centre of all we do.

We offer you the best of everything.  We're a modern, forward-thinking university based in a city steeped in heritage.  We offer a tranquil working environment that's full of people with energy.  And we combine a focus on transforming the lives of our students with a commitment to developing the careers of our staff.  More than just a job - working for Bath Spa University is a chance to explore, discover, learn and grow.

About the role

You will play a key part in maintaining and enhancing standards across the University's collaborative provision.  Focused on improving academic quality, you will be required to work effectively both independently and within a team to provide high level advisory and administrative support to the Head of Quality and Deputy Head of Quality, academic and academic-related staff, and the Academic Board committees.  Your remit will include servicing committees, reviewing and administering internal quality assurance procedures, acting as the lead contact for a designated area of academic provision and maintaining the Academic Services resources.

About you (requirements)

It is likely you are degree or HND qualified with a proven track record of working in an academic or academic-related role at a similar level.  Your sound knowledge of quality assurance in Higher Education will be matched by the ability to maintain productive relations at all levels. You will show initiative and a clear commitment to professionalism and maintaining currency within the sector, for example through membership of the Association of University Administrators.

A strong team player, you will ideally have experience of leading on areas of work within a team. You will also have solid administrative skills, an ability to use initiative but also judge when it is appropriate to seek further advice, and a commitment to raising standards at our dynamic University.
