*The successful individual can be based in any of our offices across the South East region*We're looking for an experienced individual to support, deliver and develop our Commercial Assurance solution in the region, working as part of dynamic and forward thinking team to develop and operationalise our commercial agility strategy and supporting propositions; Helping the largest procurement agency in Europe to drive the value out of commercial relationships and understand and manage commercial risk; Developing cost minimisation and revenue maximisation strategies, and critically assess supporting process architecture to ensure investment in commercial functions is appropriately targeted; Working in cross functional teams to design, develop and assure the effectiveness of commercial management arrangements using our diagnostics, benchmarking tools and through the use of early warning indicators Leading companies see risk management as an integral part of how they manage their business to protect value and drive performance. Risk Assurance specialists help companies to do business with confidence by identifying, measuring and managing risk more effectively. Our approach centres on providing advice and assurance that is focused on each client's individual challenges.In the simplest terms, we help clients to identify measure and manage their risks more effectively. Our specialist knowledge extends to clients' internal controls, especially IT systems, technology, and regulatory compliance. In addition to supporting the external financial audit, we also provide a variety of internal audit services. Since our expertise spans a wide range of industries and sectors, on each and every project we undertake the advice and assurance we offer can be focused on the individual needs of that client.You will spend time conducting Commercial Assurance work with some of the largest, most dynamic firms in the country. This requires developing an understanding of the risks facing the client and an understanding of what controls can mitigate those risks. As a result, Risk Assurance specialists develop a detailed knowledge of clients from both an IT and business perspective.In addition to the above you could also be involved in the following if you join the Risk Assurance team in the South East: Technology Assurance. We provide a wide range of Technology Assurance services for our clients, including IT security, IT service management, user access and entitlement management, controls over enterprise business systems, business continuity planning / disaster recovery planning, and end user computingInternal Audit Services. We provide internal audit support to a number of clients via co-sourcing (where we work alongside their internal audit team) or outsourcing arrangements (where we deliver the entire internal audit programme for the year). We also provide training and advisory services to Internal Audit functions, such as reviewing the effectiveness of an Internal Audit Function. Non Financial Reporting Assurance. In an environment where clients are increasingly requiring assurance over non financial data and systems we work with our clients to understand and perform non audit assurance engagements to provide internal and external stakeholders comfort over non financial information. Third Party Assurance Services. The trend to outsource certain business processes has become ever more popular in recent decades and this popularity is likely to continue as more and more organisations recognise the value of buying-in resources as and when required. We provide independent assurance that those services that are provided to our clients are performed and handled in a controlled and effective manner.The following skills are required for this role:Relationship building and ability to influence and manage stakeholdersLogical thinking and commercial insight (knowing what makes a good deal)Analytical and interpreting the results Thinking outside the box, problem solving, take a broad perspective and think laterally.Familiarity with PwC methodology and reporting structureExperience of working in teams and supervision/coaching of junior members of staff including developing teams; Ability to work in a team and understand team dynamicsDemonstrable project management of multiple engagements, analytical skills, business awareness for delivering stakeholder value, sound reporting skills and the ability to work under your own initiative to deliver agreed outcomes. The ability to apply independent judgement during engagements and to support conclusions reached to senior level personnel both internally and externally, understanding the importance of the commercial aspects of the role; You will be prepared to travel to some extent both in the UK and overseas, and to work to tight deadlines, when necessary;You will be able to demonstrate a breadth of experiences that enables you to hold broad business conversations and articulate complex issues to clients in a manner which is clear and unambiguousExperience of developing and building strong relationships with client and internal stakeholders, including strong communication skills, such as presenting and report writing.
