A Practice Accountant will be expected to perform any of the following tasks:
(You must have practise based experience in order to apply for this role)
• Providing financial advice
• Management of financial systems and budgets
• Undertaking financial audits
• Complete VAT Returns
• Advising on tax planning
• Performing tests to check financial information and systems
• Maintaining records, preparing accounts and management information
• Advising on business transactions, such as mergers and acquisitions
• Advising clients on areas of business improvement, or dealing with insolvency
• Detecting and preventing fraud (forensic accounting)
• Managing junior colleagues and trainees
Person Specification
Typical qualities of a successful Practice Accountant include:
• Ability to undertake personal and corporate tax work
• Audit experience
• Ability to process payrolls
• Good working knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook as well as accounting and accounts preparation software
