Our client has recently won several new digital and website focused clients, meaning that they are actively seeking a proactive and predominately Front-End Web Developer. The role requires day-to-day front-end development but will focus on website project management and ensuring projects are delivered on time and to cost. The candidate will also have a passion for web and associated technologies as well as a keen interest in keeping their skills up-to-date regarding digital advancements.
Essential Skills:
•Have WordPress, OpenCart, Drupal, Magneto build experience. The ability to build WordPress themes from scratch would be an advantage
•Good understanding of PHP & MySQL
•Experience of working with and extending popular PHP CMS systems
•Working knowledge of HTML5, CSS3 (SASS) & JS
•Confident performing web server administration, DNS and configuration tasks
•Excellent communication, management skills and the ability to manage multiple web projects at once. Liaise with account managers frequently as well as clients' technical staff when required
Desirable Skills:
•Knowledge of caching, best-practice and optimising sites
•Appreciation of how Design, User Experience and SEO can impact website development
•Experience working collaboratively with designers to complete projects
•Experience of working within an agency and fast-paced environment
