Director of Human Resources (part time 29.5 hours)

Salary: GBP45,827 pro rata per annum (actual salary GBP36,661)

Tenure: Part Time, Temporary until 31 st December 2017

(The postholder will work Tuesday- Friday)

We are seeking to recruit a confident and professional individual with proven experience in promoting excellence within a Human Resources department. You will play a pivotal and influential part in the merger process including leading on the transfer of staff. A key focus of your role will be ensuring that Senior Leaders and Governors receive high quality HR expert advice and guidance throughout the merger process so that staff are well engaged, well-informed and able to focus on their core functions as effectively as possible. You will also lead the continued provision of a high quality HR service in areas such as performance management, disciplinary, grievance, employment law, payroll and pensions.

Experience of working in a similar management level role is essential coupled with sound knowledge of employment law, in particular TUPE. You will be able to demonstrate a successful track record as a professional HR generalist, have extensive experience of supporting managers with complex cases and be fully CIPD qualified. Knowledge and experience of merger processes and experience of working in the FE sector would be beneficial.
