Our opportunity
We are currently recruiting a Mechanical Engineer Surveyor, specialising in the Pressure Systems discipline where you will undertake the thorough examination, or inspection, of steam raising equipment and other plant to ensure that they comply with current Regulatory and Statutory requirements.
This role is home based and covers the West Browich area.
Your Skills and Experience
You will need to hold a recognised academic qualification a Mechanical Engineering discipline which needs to be a minimum of HNC, HND, NVQ 4 or equivalent. You will also require a relevant level of practical experience in a related engineering field, which ideally should be a recognised apprenticeship and some direct relevant maintenance or servicing experience with pressure plant - particularly steam raising plant e.g. boilers.
You will have a full UK driving license, have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written and the ability to work both as part of a team and individually. You will be computer literate and be prepared to produce reports on recommendations following inspections.
