THE OPPORTUNITY

My client is a well-established Financial organisation currently seeking a Facilities Manager to join their team in Bath. You will be managing two members of staff so it is essential that you have Managerial experience and have worked in a fast-paced environment.

THE ROLE

* Securing appropriate facilities that provide convenient, efficient, continuous and pleasant working environments for all staff
* Managing all office additions or re-locations, from initial planning through to effective day-to-day running, including liaising with agents, surveyors and other members of staff
* Liaising with landlords in respect of any property related matters for all office locations
* Attending tenant's meetings
* Taking responsibility for maintenance and upkeep of properties engaging with outside services
* Completing 'Non-Domestic Rating for valuation' forms
* Maintaining security arrangements for offices and keep an up-to-date key holder log
* Managing and ordering all new/replacement furniture quotes
* Responsible for budgetary control within the central services area, including Property, Facilities and Stationery
* Supporting management of buildings and contents insurance arrangements, liaising with Compliance and Finance
* Ensuring appropriate cleaning of all offices is maintained
* Ensuring annual servicing and maintenance of heating and air conditioning systems are carried at the appropriate time
* Arranging annual Portable Appliance Testing for all offices
* Maintaining confidential waste collection, plant care and water cooler contracts
* Managing car parking arrangements for all 3 offices
* Monitoring company's compliance in line with H&S Legislation
* Maintaining H&S library and records
* Ensuring an appropriate culture of H&S awareness within the business
* Managing office risk assessments/monitoring and fire risk assessments/monitoring
* Ensuring the servicing of fire alarm systems and fire extinguishers in all offices
* Conducting tests of the Bath fire alarm every Friday at 9.30am, maintaining appropriate logs
* Ensuring full-time, professional reception cover for offices

SKILLS REQUIRED

* Proven experience working in a similar role as Facility Manager
* Experience managing a team
* Good understanding of Health and Safety legislation and requirements, including DSE assessments and fire safety
* Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
* Ideally will have a valid driving license and happy with some travel
