A major supplier of industrial valves and associated equipment are currently seeking an Internal Sales Engineer to join their rapidly expanding company.
This interesting and varied role includes elements of customer account management, relationship building, pre-sales and post-sales advice and support.
The company are a market leader in their field and provide equipment, technical support and complete project management to a broad range of market sectors on both a national and international basis.
Working as the Internal Sales Engineer you will support both customers and the external sales team in the sale of the company's products and services.
You will be the focal point for all incoming and outgoing sales enquiries, reviewing customer requirements and specifications to determine products required, generating technically and commercially acceptable quotations and proposals.
You will work closely with new and existing clients, gaining a clear understating of their requirements, identifying how the business can deliver both the products and support required.
Your sales and relationship building skills will ultimately grow accounts, enabling you to achieve sales targets and high levels of customer satisfaction.
Skills/Experience required:
-Proven technical support sales record - consistently achieving targets with technical products in a comparable field, be able to research and contact prospective customers and suppliers to develop sales
-Perseverance - follow up and up-sell with customer
-Ability to communicate professionally to technical customers in a competitive market
-Ability to learn and understand technical products and present them when necessary to assist the customer's decision-making
-Customer service/ support - via phone, email, face to face & web
-Positive 'can do' attitude is a must, as is a willingness to exceed customer expectations
Education/ experience:
-Preferably Bachelor's degree, Associate's degree in an Engineering based discipline, or relevant experience in technical sales or customer support in a similar environment
-Experience selling to relevant markets (oil & gas, power, petrochemical, water and other process related industries)
-Skilled in Office Products and CRM
-Excellent organisational skills
-Strong customer service skills
This role may involve international travel.
