Job Title: IT Support Technician
Location: Fife
Salary: Competitive DOE
Job Role:
Working as part of a small team, you will be helping customers both at our client's office and onsite. You will be providing first- and second-level support, dealing with hardware and software issues, and will genuinely enjoy helping people and troubleshooting. A flexible, positive attitude is essential as, in addition to routine system monitoring duties, you will be dealing with anything from remote password resets and walk-in customers with virus-infected laptops to company-critical backups and disaster recovery.
Requirements and Skills:
- Microsoft Office and Office 365
- TCP/IP networking configuration and troubleshooting
- Microsoft Windows and mobile device configuration and maintenance
- A full, clean driving licence so that you can travel to customer sites.
Extra Desired Experience:
- A relevant IT/Computing degree (or equivalent experience)
- Active Directory support
- Knowledge of PCI, Data Protection and other regulatory rules and regulations
- Microsoft server applications e.g. Exchange, SQL etc.
- Familiarity with Dell hardware
- StorageCraft backup and disaster recovery.
The Candidate:
- A relevant, current Microsoft Professional certification
- Excellent technical knowledge and ability

Your usual working hours will be Monday to Friday, 0900 to 1700, but, occasionally, you may be asked to do some out-of-hours work. This is a full-time position but applications will be considered from individuals only able to work half-time as job-sharing may be possible. In return, our client is offering 28 days' annual leave, a salary in line with your experience and the chance to develop your career.
