As a Senior Underwriter, you will join the Motor Operations Department and will be tasked with making credit decisions on referred applications for motor finance. 

Working to company criteria and credit policy, you will seek to maintain service levels and provide excellent levels of support to customers. 

In this exciting leadership role, you will work across the Department in a range of functions and will take on additional responsibilities alongside your underwriting activities. You will deputise for the Underwriting Team Leader as required and will support them on a day-to-day basis regarding training and support for the wider team. 

To be considered, you will need: 

- Underwriting experience for motor applications essential 
- Experience in a fast paced environment 
- Experience of coaching, training and mentoring 
- Basic level of knowledge of core team leader activities 
- At a minimum, Maths and English GCSEs at Grade C (or equivalent) 

Decisive and logical, as a Senior Underwriter, you must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to lead and influence others. A highly organised approach is also key, as are great multi-tasking abilities.
