Engineer - Full Continental Shifts - Telford, Shropshire

The role of Production Engineer is responsible for the monitoring and constant improvement of the Engineering Department within Epson Telford. The post holder will be required to support the Shift Engineer, help to develop all engineering staff within the department and ensure that all lines are staged and checked effectively to meet demands of the production schedule.

Key areas of the role of Engineer will include, but are not limited to:

• Investigate, propose and apply continuous process improvements and ideas.
• Contribute to the quality of all products leaving the process.
• Maintain and continually improve departmental productivity and machine efficiency targets.
• Support all associated departments in the pursuit of quality improvements.
• Ensure all maintenance activities are achieved within budget.
• Monitor the operation of production line equipment.
• Make proposals for improving production processes to maximise efficiency and cost.
• Develop a culture of 'Quality First' and 'Right First Time' within all processes.
• Investigate component quality problems.

The ideal Engineer:

• Hold HNC in Engineering (or equivalent).
• Proven success in a Maintenance Engineer role within fast paced manufacturing environment.
