LOCATION: Portadown, County Armagh
JOB TITLE: Asphalt Operative / Ground Worker
SALARY & BENEFITS: Competitive dependent on previous skills and experience
WORKING HOURS: Full Time - including overtime and occasional weekend work
THE COMPANY: Our client is a family owned and operated civil engineering company located in Portadown, County Armagh, Northern Ireland. They supply to and carry out work for both the private, commercial and public sectors and whose areas of expertise consist of The manufacture and laying of Asphalt products, production and supply of a wide range of quarry materials as well as Supply of quality high PSV aggregates.
Due to continued expansion they now seek Asphalt Operative / Ground Worker's to join their existing team.
THE ROLE: Our client is currently recruiting a Blacktop Operative/Ground Worker within their surfacing operations. You will report daily to Portadown, County Armagh where you will be part of the Asphalt squad. You will be responsible in visiting different locations to carry out a range of asphalt and groundwork duties dependent on your previous experience.
Key Responsibilities for the Asphalt Operative / Ground Worker's role in Portadown, County Armagh :
Work as a team to assist in the laying of stone, asphalt surfacing materials & associated
preparation work
Work safely and adhere to Health & Safety guidelines and regulations
THE CANDIDATE: The successful candidate will ideally have experience in working as part of an Asphalt squad or similar industry i.e. concrete. You will ideally have a valid CRS card. Although full training can be provided for the right candidate, applicants with previous experience in rolling, raking and operation of plant & machinery would be highly desirable. You should be a committed and reliable worker who enjoys working as part of a team. A valid driving license is essential, holding a C1E or HGV licence would be desirable.
Key Experience/ Characteristics preferred for the Asphalt Operative / Ground Worker's role in Portadown, County Armagh :-
Previous experience working in an asphalt squad or similar industry
Experience in rolling, raking and operation of plant & machinery preferable but not desirable
CSR Card desirable
Driving licence essential. Class C1E or HGV would be advantageous but not essential
