We are proud to be recruiting for one of the worlds leading machine manufacturing companies. They are an international company covering the globe.
The Position:
Area Sales Manager (product not people) to cover Europe, South Africa and the Middle East.
Manage designated accounts for the purpose of selling System solutions, new equipment sales, spare parts; service, training packages and machine upgrade kits.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
• Become knowledgeable on all of the product lines in terms of performance, features, and applications.
• Completion and issuing of equipment sales orders and financial supplements (Purchase order, sales order, signed off proposal, signed off specification(s) and lay-out drawings)
• Turn in reports as required by the sales director.
• Provide management with statistical information, progress reports on sales enquiries and contracts when required.
• Regular sales calls and visits to designated key accounts/sales territories.
• Be alert at filtering new business opportunities/designs/applications and high-risk requests, with manufacturing sites in and engineering/technical departments before making commitments to the customer.
• Generally, work with production engineering, operations, and applications engineering to develop equipment orders that are profitable.
• Develop manufacturing processing solutions for customers of the industrial market by generating comprehensive proposal and layout drawing packages, and handle all aspects of co-ordination.
• Travel to customer's sites as required for execution of selling new equipment sales (units & systems) plus after sales, spare parts, machine upgrade kits, training packages etc.
• Improve and maintain databases of product lines and competitors
• Assist in the preparation of proposal drawings, customer process specifications necessary for efficient proposal and layout generation, and order processing through the sales departments.
• Conduct site surveys, liaising with architects and builders, and with other equipment suppliers in the compilation of full turnkey plant installations.
• Other duties as may be required to help generate sales for the company
Candidate Requirements:
Essential:
• Previous solution selling experience
• Previous experience within a manufacturing or engineering company - Ideally machinery
• Able to travel
• Able to plan and self-manage
Preferred:
• Able to produce technical drawings using CAD
Package:
GBP60,000 basic (Negotiable)
Guaranteed Commission from year 1 (uncapped)
