There is a need for a Graduate/Assistant Structural Engineer with 2-3 years' experience to join our client, an award-winning consulting practice near Oxford. A multi-disciplinary practice that provides service to both Civil and Structural Engineering projects. They work across a range of sectors but the majority residential, bridges and highways for both private and public sector clients from scheme concept through to detailed design and construction monitoring.
The Structural Engineer will be responsible for undertaking engineering analysis and preparing calculations for structural and civil engineering projects. You will also need to be proficient in the use of relevant technical analysis and design software (Tedds, Revit, Robot etc.).
Duties would include but not be limited to;
*Prepare structural and civil engineering drawings using AutoCAD
*Undertake engineering analysis and prepare calculations for structural and civil engineering projects
*Liaise and communicate clearly in a professional manner to clients, contractors and other designers and to offer advice and guidance on matters relating to your work
*Attend design meetings, site meetings and carryout site inspections
*Prepare structural and civil engineering drawings using AutoCAD
*Be proficient in the use of relevant technical analysis and design software
Role Requirements and Qualifications;
*BEng, BSc, MEng or MSc in Civil or Structural Engineering Degree from an ICE approved institution
*2 - 3 years' experience within a similar role either Civil or Structural Engineering
*Willingness to undertake further training in office and own time to achieving CEng status.
