Job Title: International Financial Accounting Manager

This is a fantastic opportunity to join our Group Finance function in an exciting role supporting our existing and developing overseas operations.
Based out of our Leicestershire Head Office, you'll be reporting into the Group Financial Controller and responsible for an international team, comprising directly employed and third-party supplied finance teams. Not only will you have ownership of the financial accounting and reporting for our existing entities, you will also lead on a variety of project as we expand our operations into India and potentially further afield.
We currently operate in over 70+ countries across the globe, so this role is crucial in delivering our international potential, which is one of our fastest growing areas!
About the International Financial Accounting Manager Role:
You will:
You'll be responsible for the financial accounting oversight of our overseas entities including China, Russia and Eastern Europe; ensuring a robust control environment and accurate financial reporting.
Working closely with a range of business areas across NEXT, you will be the go-to person for International accounting. This will involve liaison with operational, commercial finance, treasury, tax, finance operations and company secretarial teams.
Responsible for establishing the financial backbone of our expansion in India.
Work closely with Commercial Finance to drive profitability and sales growth in our overseas entities.
Lead on a range of ad-hoc projects as we look to expand further overseas - which is one of our fastest growing areas!
Manage a virtual team across multiple locations; including Capita India, Schneider Group Russia and our local China finance team.
The ideal International Financial Accounting Manager:
- You'll be a fully Qualified Accountant (ACA/ ACCA) at a manager or assistant manager level, with strong IFRS knowledge.
- Ideally ex-practice or have worked in a financial accounting department previously, with experience of working in/auditing large international businesses.
- Have excellent attention to detail and a real drive to improve processes and fix issues at source.
- Excellent organisational and multi-tasking skills.
- Great communication skills with the ability to build relationships quickly and influence at all levels of the organisation.
- Excellent understanding of financial controls.
- Flexibility and ability to travel overseas for approximately 6-8 weeks pa.
