Company Accountant opportunity with a long-established Herefordshire business, which is continuing to enjoy impressive double digit year on year growth as renowned market leaders in a high profile sector. Working closely with the business owners, you will ensure and further develop a finance function that works closely and most effectively with the broad business to business customer base. Fully utilising your financial and commercial acumen to achieve business objectives, this is a hands on role.
As Company Accountant, you will have total responsibility for the finance function from basic input right through to Management output. Day to day responsibilities will include:
- Day to day responsibility for General Accounting including Invoicing, Purchase Ledger, Sales Ledger, Asset Reporting, Customer Payments and Bank Reconciliation
- Compilation and completion of VAT returns
- Processing Monthly Payroll and Annual Payroll Returns
- Production of Monthly Management Accounts, budgets and cash flows.
- Preparation for Audit
This opportunity will be ideal for a self-motivated individual who is always striving to introduce and improve policies, procedures and systems to increase the efficiency of the function and management decision making.
In this very fast paced business, you will have excellent organisational skills and the ability to work to strict deadlines. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are a must as customer interaction is extensive, and you should be confident with liaising with both Financial and Non-Financial associates.
