Trials / Systems Integration Engineer - 6 Month Contract
A leading provider of secure satellite communications serving various international companies throughout Europe, due to growth, now has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Trials / Integration Engineer to join their existing team on a 6 month interim assignment based in Aldershot.
Reporting into the Head of Engineering, the successful individual will be responsible for planning, defining and executing test, integration and trial campaigns for satellite systems which will include writing integration and test plans; defining test requirements; write and execute test procedures and lead trial activities.
The client we are representing is looking for individuals who are degree qualified with a 2:2 grade or above in Software, Electronic Engineering, Physics or a related subject; be able to demonstrate at least 3 years commercial experience of working within a Systems, Integration or Trials engineering capacity within the satellite, mobile data, digital communications, IP networking, RF systems or broadcast technology arena as well as have experience in defining integration test plans, creating test requirements from system requirements; hands on experience of working with communication test equipment and be fully conversant with system integration, validation and verification strategies including certification and environmental qualification processes and preferably some experience of working with DOORS requirements capture tools.
Individuals with experience of IPv4, IPv6, Mobile IP, and 802.11b/g, GRE, ARP and IPSEC would be of distinct interest to our client, though not essential.
Individuals must be willing to travel both internationally and throughout the UK on occasions.
