Our client is looking to appoint an experienced Applications Engineer who will be responsible for generating tenders in response to customer enquiries.
The Applications Engineer will be responsible for;
- Responding to customers enquires in a timely manner
- Review customer enquiry documents and ensure clarification of the customers' requirements
- Liaise with Electrical and Mechanical Engineers to design a solution
- Work closely with electrical design, purchasing and manufacturing to ensure a cost-effective solution
- Prepare the formal tender
- Manage the principle customer interface during the tender execution ensuring effective progress updates and communication
- Hand-over of the tender to the Contract or Project Manager
Experience and knowledge required for the role;
- An Electrical Engineering or Electrical Power Engineering Degree
- Experience of electrical design would be highly advantageous, but our client will consider a Graduate with the relevant Electrical Engineering Degree
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Focused on the consistent delivery of customer service and satisfaction
- Commercially aware with strong analytical skills
- Project Management skills
