Electrical Systems Reliability TechnicianPerm position Cambridge Salary GBP39k GBP46k (depending on experience) Plus a generous benefit pack DPS Alban Technical is now recruiting for an Electrical Systems Reliability Technician, on behalf of one of the leading pharmaceutical manufacturing company in Cambridge. Role:This position is carrying out the role of Company Electrical Appointed Person. The main responsibility will be providing maintenance support to ensure the effective operation of electrical equipment and systems, to reduce the incidence of breakdown and minimise downtime and disruption and ensure compliance with electrical wiring and machine safety regulations.Key Responsibilities:Responsibility for sanctioning competent personnel to carry out electrical duties, setting standards for safe electrical work and management of statutory testing of fixed installations and portable equipment.Provide technical expertise and subject matter knowledge relating to design and maintenance of electrical equipment and systems.Provide assistance and guidance in the resolution of equipment failures and operational performance issues, including analysis and reporting as required.Contribute to the development of maintenance strategies by providing understanding and knowledge of operational needs, equipment performance, maintenance costs, downtime and reliability, including detailed analysis and reporting as required.Contribute to continuous improvement activities and support installation and modification of new equipment and systems. Participate, as required, in predelivery inspections, factory acceptance tests, design reviews, vendor audits, commissioning, and qualification.Develop solutions when it is identified that reliability is impacted by obsolescence and failure of electrical systemsLead investigations into major electrical failures and incidents using Root Cause Analysis and provide written feedback to inform the Maintenance Strategy. The candidate MUST have strong knowledge of HSE regulations/BS6423 & BS7671 IEE Wiring regs 17th edGMP validation protocols and other regulations and their impact on electrical systems and equipmentElectrical systems and equipment, including maintenance strategies, energy efficiency and awareness of developing technologies.Ability to work with people using problem solving tools and techniques to identify problems and solutionsIndepth knowledge of relevant forms and documentation relating to maintenance activityA thorough understanding of how to manage plant reliability, spares materials management, asset management tools and techniques.Ideally the candidate must be educated to C&G (or equivalent) Advertised through Zoek.
