Management Accountant

Barclay Meade Finance & Accountancy recruitment are working with a leading south coast employer seeking a Qualified Accountant to join them in a 1 year fixed term contract.

This role will be part of a large finance function, focussing on month end operating expenses for a number of areas in the business. The post holder will be responsible for management accounting of results through the monthly ledger close process. There will be a focus on process improvement in this role and supporting the wider finance function ensuring collaborative working.

The key responsibilities for this Management Accountant role include:
* Accurate processing of adjustments to the general leader as part of the month end process to ensure it reflects business performance
* Completion of analysis and commentary supporting reported numbers
* Monthly reconciliation of balance sheet control accounts
* Ad hoc analysis and reporting
* Review processes and procedures to identify opportunities to improve operational effectiveness
* Assisting the senior accountant as required

The key skill set required for this Management Accountant role include:
* Qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA or finalist level
* Experience in a large finance function
* Diligent, with a keen eye for detail
