Our client is currently seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Purchasing and Stock Coordinator to join their highly established team based at the companys large site in Reading, Berkshire. Our client is looking to recruit an individual who will be responsible for companywide purchasing, control and analysis of UK and overseas supply chain and overall responsibility for active inventory management and control of three locations.Responsibilities Maintaining a computerised purchasing database, chase quotations, place purchase orders, agree delivery schedules. Cost and supplier analysis and report writing.Achieving cost saving via supplier negotiation and managing good relationships with key supply partners.New supplier sourcing & engagement. Following all Purchase Orders through to delivery and completion.Liaising with transport companies and follow up delivery discrepancies.Preparing, checking and posting of stock transfer journal of stock movements between our two warehouses.Physical stock check and investigation of biweekly rolling stock check.Yearly stock take input/ analyse & investigation of full stock check figures.RequirementsThe ideal Candidate must have commercial experience within a purchasing/buying/stock control environment.Ability to negotiate all commercial terms with suppliers and understand the implications.Identify and act upon cost reduction and resourcing opportunities to maximise purchasings contribution to the company.Ability to turn analysis into action.Attention to detail.Confidence. Able to adapt to current company process and scope improvement.Liaise with colleagues at all levels within the company.Our client are offering a salary of GBP24,000 GBP26,000 depending on experience.
