Due to continuing business success and growth we now have a fantastic opportunity available for an Applications Specialist to join our team in Taunton.
What will I be responsible for?
We are looking for an experienced Applications Specialist to provide specialist 2nd line technical support, analysis and testing; contributing to new solutions and interfaces. Your responsibilities will include:
- To undertake second line technical support with an emphasis on root cause analysis
- To provide training and guidance to 1st line support (ICT Service Desk and Super Users)
- Assist and/or lead requirements gathering for new enhancements and development of existing solutions
- Design and document detailed test cases to cover requirements, using the test management tool
- To mentor and support UAT Coordinators in the design and documentation of test cases.
- Provide recommendations for configuration and/or development of SharePoint. To include use of out of the box features, applications from the App Store and COTS applications based on SharePoint technology
- Administration and specialist technical support of Solutions
- Provision of SharePoint expertise to support business process enhancement
- Provide guidance to business units on the structure and design of their sites
- Provide guidance and assistance in the creation and management of core Company document content types and taxonomy term sets
- Represent ICT as a key member of the Super User Community Group.
- Stay current with roadmaps and emerging trends
Our ideal Applications Specialist?
We are looking for an experienced Applications Specialist. You will possess the following skills and experience:
- Knowledge of the multitude of capabilities that SharePoint Online offers. Including appreciation of out of the box configuration features and the SharePoint infrastructure.
- Undertake user training in specialist applications in support of identified business needs.
- Knowledge of Testing principles
- Full UK Driving license
- Experience of supporting core line of business applications within an enterprise environment
- Experience of configuring and supporting SharePoint within an enterprise environment, including workflows
- Proven analytical and problem resolution skills
- MS Sharepoint Online
- Microsoft Test Manager
