Software Developer - Full Stack - Lead

This is an exciting opportunity to join an early stage fully funded technology startup, founded by professionals from the hospitality sector, with a clear vision to change the way the local takeaway delivery market operates. Their aim is to connect customers with their local restaurants and takeaways in a community-based deal, offering reward services to customers and a new fairer process for independent restaurant owners.

They are looking for an experienced full stack developer with a passion for technology and software to join their startup. Working in a small entrepreneurial team you'll have the opportunity to develop their tech platform from the ground up, taking ownership of the project from day one to lay down the infrastructure for their online and mobile presence. Once they have got the main nuts and bolts in place they will be looking to expand, so good people skills and the ability to lead a development team will be a plus. Responsibilities (To name a few...)
- Developing their web presence and mobile apps in a full stack environment
- Integrating third party partners and services
- Product design and strategy
- Testing, optimising and scaling product platforms

Skills and Qualifications
- Problem solver who gets things done
- A demonstrable passion for technology and software
- Ideally 2+ years of commercial experience building customer facing products
- A degree in computer science or a related subject
- Strong command of HTML, CSS, Javascript
- Backend programming experience (Python, PHP or similar)
- Clear understanding of database management systems such as MySQL or equivalent
- Knowledge of design tools such as Photoshop or Illustrator
- Ability to write readable well-structured code
- Experience developing Android applications (experience with iOS apps a plus)
- Good communication skills and a friendly team player
- Ability to "translate" technical language into layman's terms to ensure stakeholders understand your work
- Legal right to work in the UK
