Universal Credit Advisor (Social Housing) x2

GBP24,400 plus GBP900 ECU

Our client has just been ranked 27th in The Sunday Times Top 100 Best Not-for-Profit Organisations to work for in the whole of the UK and they are looking for someone new to join their Customer Accounts Team.

They are a housing and support organisation based in Bath, providing affordable homes and high quality care and support services across the West of England. They manage nearly 13,000 homes and are developing and building 300 homes every year.

They're looking for two new colleagues to undertake the role of Universal Credit Advisor for a Customer Accounts team. The team is responsible for collecting GBP66 million of rent each year and the ethos is to collect rent in an effective and ethical way that reflects the organisational values of caring, respectful, open fair and trusting.

You will be responsible for supporting customers to move on to Universal Credit, ensuring that they are able to sustain their tenancies at what can be a challenging time.

This is a role that will require great communication and organisational skills. You will need some knowledge of the welfare benefits system and Universal Credit, however full training can be provided. What is most important to us is that you are someone who will thrive in a busy role working with a large volume of customers, be motivated by getting the best possible outcome for every customer, be robust in navigating the welfare benefits system and have a natural ability to engage with and support customers who may be very vulnerable or stressed.

The main duties of this role include undertaking a triage assessment of customers moving to universal credit and dealing with any issues that arise such as the need for financial, digital or employment support. You will be comfortable talking to people about money and will be persistent, resourceful and resilient. You will be working in a range of locations including the job centre and in customers' homes.

If this sounds like the exciting new challenge you've been waiting for, and you've got the passion, the ideas and the energy, we'd love to hear from you.
