AutoCAD Technician - Shop Fitting/Retail Display
Working for the industry leader who supply temporary and permanent installations for a variety of industries including retail, hospitality and events. A new position due to growth you will be responsible for:
- Producing detailed drawings
- Detailed drawing for components constructed from timber and metals
- Create assembly instructions to assist the Project Managers and Workshop Engineers
- Communicate design intent through SolidWorks and AutoCAD
- Work closely with Project Managers to develop and deliver new projects
- Liaise with suppliers and internal staff to optimise product construction, minimise waste and maintain the highest possible build and finish standards
- Prepare technical documentation and product visualisations to communicate the design and construction intent.
- Liaise in the generation of safety documents to support compliance with the machinery directive, risk assessments and technical files.
- To deliver concise and practical construction drawings incorporating layout drawings for multi axis CNC
We are looking for someone who has the following:
- Experienced AutoCAD user with 4 years relevant shop fitting draughting experience
- Methodical and accurate CAD draughting through concept to build.
- Practical build experience of the following; Joinery, Shop fitting and Events
- Demonstrate a strong 3D style with emphasis on form and function and construction for manufacture.
- Sound understanding and knowledge of basic engineering principles.
- Experienced in use of Microsoft Office Tools.
- Good time management, project planning and organisational skills.
- Excellent communication, problem solving and analytical skills.
- Adapt to all the varying demands of the client's design.
- Strong team player and able to work under pressure.
- A desire to join a team who relish a challenge with an inventive approach to design challenges
- Good team-working skills with confidence in making decisions
- Be well organised, demonstrate a good eye for detail and a methodical approach to design
