Construction Brickwork Technician/Facilitator

GBP17,667 - GBP19,239 per annum

37 hours per week / 38 Weeks per year (Term Time Only)

Blackburn College is passionate about innovative teaching and learning practice and committed to growing and developing our construction provision within the Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) Centre. Our construction facilities are some of the best in the area with environmental technology workshops, mechanical workshop, electrical laboratories, a mock bungalow, CAD facilities and a real-life plant room.

With a NVQ Level 3 or above (or equivalent) in brickwork and extensive practical experience of working in brickwork related industry, you will facilitate teaching support to enable the effective delivery of the Construction curriculum within the Brickwork area. You will be expected to provide day-to-day co-ordination of the workshop, technical and teaching facilities by working with the team of staff to ensure effective support is provided to both staff and students. You will require an up to date knowledge of the Brickwork sector and how this links to the curriculum that is delivered and be able to co-ordinate resource usage efficiently to deliver the curriculum. You will also be responsible for managing, monitoring and maintaining resources within the area and will take an active part in the development of curriculum delivery through the annual business planning process.
