Randstad Education is working with an academy in South London serving pupils in South Norwood and Croydon. Their aim is to ensure that all their pupils leave highly qualified, personable and articulate young people ready to lead happy and enriching adult lives.
If you are motivated by the success of your pupils, this Teacher of Expressive Arts opportunity at a mainstream secondary school in South London is perfect for you. The school is a work in progress, opened in 2015 it has a current total of 270 students on roll, 55% of which are in receipt of the Pupil Premium and 11% classified as DSEN. The Academy has a Designated Resource Provision for 15 students with a diagnosis of Autistic Spectrum Disorder. The school is adding a year group each academic year and will therefore be at full capacity in September 2019.

The school is a new build and has all up to date learning facilites for the 21st Century Student.

This a full time role from September 2017. This is a unique opportunity for both experienced teachers and NQTs to nurture and develop their teaching career with Oasis Academy Arena as it grows year-on-year.

The ideal candidates will have a real love for their subject and a desire to share their knowledge and experiences. They will be positive, passionate and enthusiastic with the ability to instil these qualities in our students. It is essential that you demonstrate up-to-date knowledge of teaching, learning and behaviour strategies.

To be considered for this role you must be an empathetic and amiable Teacher who has experience of delivering good quality lesson and has the ability to create positive relationships with your colleagues and pupils. The ideal candidate will have a natural ability to motivate their pupils through an engaging approach to learning. The ideal candidate will have:

  • UK QTS (or equivalent)
  • Excellent subject specialism in expressive arts
  • Excellent subject knowledge
  • Able to plan and prepare creative and engaging lessons across KS3 & KS4
  • Able to monitor pupil's progress and keep records of their development, as well as preparing them for external examinations & qualifications
