Then please get in touch! Kingston Barnes are currently exclusively recruiting on behalf of a market leading multi-disciplinary consultancy with an established regional office in Bristol. They employ ~450 construction consultants across nine offices in the UK; providing project management, cost consultancy, building surveying and health and safety services to a wide range of public and private sector clients. Typically, they are involved in projects ranging in value from GBP500k - GBP100m with a number of flagship projects/programmes exceeding GBP500m+. They operate in all sectors of the construction industry with a particular focus on Commercial, Residential, Education, Healthcare, Leisure, Defence and Industrial.

At present, they are seeking a Principal Design professional to join their thriving team on a permanent basis. At present, the Bristol office consists of 36; nine of whom provide the full spectrum of commercial Building Surveying services. Three of these Building Surveyors are currently offering Principal Design services to a varied portfolio of clients in the South West. Our client would now like to employ an experienced Principal Designer with knowledge of CDM regulations and a background in Building Surveying or Project Management to help deliver these instructions, establish a team and progress their career.

The ideal candidate will be degree educated in a relevant construction discipline such as Building Surveying, Construction/Project Management or Quantity Surveying. You will be able to demonstrate 1-2 years delivering Principal Design services to a range of clients within a consultancy environment and have also completed further health and safety qualifications such as NEBOSH or IOSH. You will also have completed, or be working towards, accreditation with a relevant professional body such as the Association for Project Safety (APS) or Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).

In return, our client is offering a competitive basic salary from GBP40,000 - GBP55,000 with an extensive and flexible benefits package which includes car allowance, subsidised parking, professional membership fees, pension etc.
