SQL Support Analyst

JOB PURPOSE

Provide technical support in developing and maintaining database applications. Heavy focus on data quality and integration supporting Back End VAT claim processing system used in 20 countries which contains module like data processing, invoicing, payments, CRM etc. Good data analysis, data troubleshooting and good development skills are required. This role requires the ability to develop reports using SSRS 2008R2

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

• This position requires strong experience developing relational database applications with a primary focus on complex SQL joins, creating database objects like procedures, views, functions, good working knowledge on new SQL features provided in 2008 R2.
• Write SQL statements for ad-hoc report generation
• Develop and maintain reports using SSRS 2008 R2
• Develop proactive relationship with system users and provide timely support when required with excellent communication skills
• Have experience in Financial services or semi financial services organisation that dealt financial or accounting data

SKILLS

Essential skills

• SQL server 2008R2 and above
• Developing reports using SSRS 2008R2 and above
• Developing SSIS packages for data imports
• Strong T-SQL skills, optimization, performance tuning and debugging
• Working experience in excel using like Pivot etc
• Bachelor's degree

Nice to have

• Good to have exposure to database co nfiguration tools like Red-gate and TFS
