We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Gas Engineer to join our team based in Colchester.

Installing, maintaining and repairing central heating boilers and other heat producing appliances you will be responsible for the maintenance/ repair work of ancillary equipment such as pumps, tanks, valves and water pipework.  The Gas Engineer will undertake programmed, maintenance and servicing within domestic premises in conjunction with the provision of accurate records, relating to the work which has been completed. Measuring for fittings and listing necessary materials, you will maintain and replenish vehicle imprest stock alongside the collection of delivery materials. The successful candidate will erect, use and dismantle access equipment and must be prepared to act as a coach to trainees within our organisation, encouraging a positive learning environment along with obtaining (where requested) customer feedback on the completion of works.  The Gas Engineer has a key Health & Safety responsibility making sure all requirements are met whilst assisting with regular Health and Safety Inspections in their own workplace.

Qualified to City and Guilds/ Gas Service Engineer standard, you will hold an appropriate ACS certification. Candidates for this position must possess previous experience of breakdowns along with a working knowledge of installing and maintaining gas appliances. With the ability to demonstrate a thorough working knowledge of the safety procedures required to carry out the work.  You will have the ability to understand and interpret work instructions, drawings and work in line with our current standards. The successful Gas Engineer must be able to trace, diagnose and rectify faults whilst establishing and maintaining customer/ client relationships coupled with excellent communication skills.
