S P A Business Services Limited, based at Stockley Park, Uxbridge, requires Teradata Developer with hands-on experience on SQL, Unix, Kognitio, DB2, and Oracle. Applicants must be experienced and demonstrate a proven work track record to enable the following key responsibilities of the role:
- Experience in designing and developing the reports on mainframe using Teradata SQL
- Strong requirement in elicitation & analysis on GrID
- Experience in using Teradata utilities TPT, TPump, BTEQ, Fastload, Fastexport and multi-load.
- In-depth knowledge of Performance tuning and optimization to handle and process large volume of data in Teradata
- Experience in Data profiling, Data retention and Data migration/ Archiving.
- Experience in SQL programming (views/store procedures/macros/functions) based on User requirements and architectural guidelines and standards.
- In-depth knowledge of Performance tuning and optimization to handle and process large volume of data in Teradata

- Experience in writing Unix Shell scripting is a must
- Perform various cycles of System integration testing of Datastage and Teradata modules
- Experience and knowledge of ODI, Schedulers such as Tivoli, object relational mapping, caching
- Experience in data modelling from OLTP data source to the target Enterprise Data Warehouse
- Good experience working in an Agile/Scrum and Kanban environments
- Good knowledge and experience on Big Data related technologies is a plus
- Should have co-ordinating experience with offshore team for development using Teradata utilities such as BTEQ, Multiload, Fastload, Fast Export etc
- Ability to coordinate with SMEs, stakeholders, manages timelines, escalation & provides on-time status – strong project management skills as well
Qualifications, Experience and Mandatory Skills Required:
- Minimum of 8 years in Teradata Development experience
- Educated to Bachelor Degree level
- Experience of working with a variety of end users including offshore/onshore resources
- Excellent Communication and written skills in English
- Team Work, Team Building & Leadership Qualities
- Flexibility and experience in prioritizing tasks and ability to deal with variable workload
