Opportunity for a Warehouse Labour Planning Manager to join a leading 3PL based in Swindon
Client Details
Our client, based in Swindon, are one of the largest 3rd Party Logistics providers within Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain
Description
Based in the Swindon depot and reporting to the GM, the Warehouse Labour Planning Manager will hold the following responsibilities:
- To work with the business to create effective labour plans for each department on a 24/7 operation
- Plan resourcing for both permanent and agency staff across all departments
- Monitor costs of agency supply, overtime and training
- Communicate with the operational management team regarding issues and improvements.
- Provide labour roster patterns and solutions for new projects
- Identify improvements and efficiency measures throughout the business and make recommendations
- Report and track weekly costs
Profile
To be considered for the role of Warehouse Labour Planning Manager you will need the following attributes:
- Experience working within an FMCG/3PL/Grocery environment in a Labour or Resource Planning role
- Previous experience of WMS or other logistics systems
- Experience of both warehouse operations and scheduling
- Proven track record for delivering consistently high operational performance
- This position may include shift and weekend work as the depot operates 24/6 therefore, it is essential that you are flexible in your approach to work
- Highly analytical individual with a sound knowledge of the principles of warehouse operations and planning functions
