SEN Teaching Assistant required in OFSTED rated Good SLD school, for children aged 2 - 19.

Our client, a SEN school set in a beautiful rural environment, catering for children with severe, profound multiple learning disabilities, is seeking an experienced TA to work with students aged 2 - 19 years. The successful candidate will be able to adapt to the wide range of complex learning difficulties of students in this school, will be able to build effective relationships with students and staff and will be able to utilise these relationships to encourage progress and happiness of pupils.

The ethos of the school is focused around promoting independence, life and social skills, promoting achievement and on staff cooperation with a multitude of professionals including teachers and TAs, as well as health, social care staff and more.

This school has a strong management infrastructure allowing both its staff and pupils to feel supported in everything they do. This is a fantastic school to work in and offers a huge range of facilities which allow teachers and support staff to develop their skills and improve lesson quality. The school is very forward thinking and places a large emphasis on improving the quality of life of all students, meaning you may also be involved in providing support to parents

These facilities include a swimming pool open to the public on weekends, where full time swimming coaching staff are employed to help students in a range of physical therapies.

To be considered for this role you must:

* Have experience of working in an SEN school, preferably with SLD students, for at least 2 years
* Be able to support all students throughout their education, taking into account the needs of each student
* Be able to work as part of a team and on your own initiative
* Be able to support the learning policies of the school and become an active member of the teaching team
* Be able to expand the learning ability for all pupils
