Electrical, Control & Instrumentation Engineer
My Client is currently Recruiting for an Electrical, Control & Instrumentation Engineer to join their team at Sunderland. The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of electrical, control and instrumentation on the Sunderland Sites (Hendon Dock, Ocean Terminal and North Tyne); including maintenance of equipment, both routine and planned; installing new equipment, ensuring compliance with regulations associated with electrical equipment on site.
Location - Southampton, Fawsley

Key responsibilities of the role will include, ensuring all duties and assigned activities are carried out in compliance with statutory requirements and the companies quality, health & safety and environmental management system and the electricity at work regulations. You will also Promote a positive health and safety culture by sustaining good housekeeping standards, wearing correct PPE, reporting any observed near misses and isolating any unsafe situations and ensuring that appropriate repairs and routine maintenance requirements are identified and undertaken as necessary to maintain plant availability and efficiency.
You will be Responsible for the installation, inspection, maintenance and repair of all relevant electrical equipment and instrumentation, ensuring all work undertaken to the highest standards and within required timescales ensuring all equipment defects and alarms are reported and that they are appropriately handled ensuring unsafe all items are suitably isolated and communicated.
In order to be considered for this role you will possess a comprehensive range of instrumentation and three phase power supply knowledge ideally with suitable technical skills for trouble shooting and installation works. The ideal candidate will also be apprentice trained and possess qualifications in hazardous area working (CompEx) and ideally within the wiring regulations (17th edition). Experience and knowledge gained working within top tier CoMAH regulations including corresponding environmental, health and safety legislative requirements is fundamental to this role.
