An opportunity has arisen in the Product Support Authority of Customer Support & Services for a Support Analysis Engineer with one of MBDA's weapon support projects. We are looking for someone with familiarity with logistic modelling and supporting in-service a major missile system, to broaden their capabilities and knowledge through operating in a dynamic and challenging environment to deliver in-service support to MBDA largest support contract.

What is the purpose of this role?
The purpose of this role is to provide support analysis expertise to one of MBDA's weapon systems to ensure that the system continues to meet the challenging availability needs of one of MBDA's major customers.

What will you be doing?
Act as a member of one of MBDA's Project Availability Support Service Teams, specifically to:

- Be the person in a small team, managing all spare part recommendations and interfacing with the company's Logistics Modelling Team.
- Oversee the spares modelling activities to ensure that a reasonable prediction of spares and consumables is provided
- Produce and update various support related plans and reports.
- Specifically, be responsible for:
- Recommendations of the weapon system's spares and consumable items.
- Carrying out day-to-day analysis of any spares modelling recommendations.
- Liaising with the MBDA Spares and Repairs Department, Subcontractors, and the MBDA System Design Authority.
- Support modification programmes for the equipment, as required.
- Review, update and develop systems to improve the delivery of support to the in-service equipment.
- Maintain the integrity of company information systems data.

What we are looking for from you?
The successful applicant will need to:

- Demonstrate they have a high degree of self-motivation and drive, and the ability to work as part of a team, with minimal supervision.
- Be technically minded, by understanding the implications of a particular course of action.
- Have had previous experience in supportability engineering, logistics support, or working in an in-service support environment.
- Have the ability to converse with the customer, as required in an open, honest and trusting manner.
- Work within the team to quickly assess customer queries, associated with hardware or supplier issues, and to speedily identify remedial actions.
- Have good verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
- Show they have a good knowledge of Microsoft Excel spreadsheets (An essential requirement).
- Be prepared for occasional UK travel.
