JOB DESCRIPTION - Service Technical Support.

You will be the first point of contact for Technical Support both internally and externally to the business worldwide.

Accountabilities Primary

- Provide technical support to customers throughout the world.
- Give support to colleagues and customers in identifying spare parts.
- Liaise and report with Sales/Technical/Procurement/Production/Controls/Spares to overcome site issues/problems.
- Liaise with project managers and sales regarding new project specifications.
- Actively seek new opportunities to build service revenue including increasing the number of service contracts.
- Site visits as required - estimated 20% of the role.
- Keep internal and external customers aware of improvements/changes in new products.
- Fault finding during breakdowns.
- Support installation supervisors with technical assistance and product/service support as required.
- Report design problems/long-term issues to relevant parties.
- Adhere to Company health and safety policies at all times and encourage safe systems of work throughout the department.
- Ensure compliance with UK quality system and procedures.
- Part of the out of hour's rota.
- A degree of Flexibility of start/finish times is required.
- Any other reasonably requested task commensurate with the level of the role.

Secondary

- Comply with departmental administrative procedures.
- Ensure all team members are complying with departmental parameters. Position

- Develop and maintain service agreements and build on customer relationships.
- Responsible for resource planning for service.
- Co-ordinate logistical requirement for service including travel, hotels, car hire, work permits, etc.
- Provide technical support to internal and external customers in rectifying operational issues and identifying spare parts as required.
- Provide absence cover within the department, including but not limited to Haulage bookings, Travel bookings (Flights, channel tunnel, etc.) hotel bookings, car rental bookings, Procurement of plant hire, general administrative duties etc.

- Pneumatics' experience
- PLC Experience
- Mechanical assembly experience

Desirable

- Experience and knowledge of Monorail products and site work
- Previous experience of installation work in a commercial sector
- HND Engineering / Mechanical Engineering

Knowledge and skills

Essential

- Computer literate.
- Possess excellent technical knowledge of automation
- Strong electrical knowledge and background with excellent fault finding skills.
- Good oral, written and presentational skills including ability to produce high standard documentation.

Desirable

- CAD knowledge/experience

- The ability to demonstrate excellent communication and negotiation skills when dealing with customers.
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to 'think outside the box' to reach realistic workable solutions.

Title: Service Technical Support

Salary: GBP35,355.00, plus when competent in the role the individual will also receive an additional GBP200 for each week on the technical rota, which is anticipated once every four weeks, therefore potential earning could be GBP37,955 per annum

Positon status: Full-time

Location: Banbury

Hours: The hours of work are 42.5 per week - Monday to Friday, 8:00-17:00

Should you be required to work a weekend overtime is as follows:

Overtime

- Site-work on weekends will be treated as follows:
- Saturday and Sunday hours are banked into a lieu account at a rate of 1.5x for each hour worked.
- Statutory holidays: if an individual is required to work on a statutory holiday they will be entitled to take an alternative day in lieu of the untaken holiday.
- Each month the individual will be advised monthly of how many lieu hours are in the bank and they can choose to either:
- save them in the bank to be taken as time away from work in blocks of 4.25 hours or
- to have them paid in that month's payroll.
