JOB TITLE: Part Time Receptionist / Administrator
SALARY & BENEFITS: GBP7.50 per hour
WORKING HOURS: 20.5 hours per week
THE COMPANY: We are a busy GP Practice located in March, Cambridgeshire and are looking to recruit an experienced Part Time Receptionist / Administrator to join our busy Reception Team. You will have experience of working in a fast pace environment where accuracy, compassion and empathy are of paramount importance. You will be well supported by a team but you will need to have the confidence to use your own initiative when making decisions (while following practice guidelines) This is a very busy role which is always changing, due to changing demands of patients and policies, so you will need to be able to adapt your style/approach of working to fit each situation you are presented with. We work within a large, modern and purpose built building which has free parking.
THE ROLE: As a Part Time Receptionist / Administrator you will be based in March, Cambridgeshire and will be part of our clients busy Reception Team. Your role will vary from day to day. You will be working in a fast pace environment where accuracy, compassion and empathy are of paramount importance.
The shifts on Reception are between the hours of 7.45am and 6.30pm Monday to Friday, we need someone who is able to work their scheduled shifts but also have the availability/flexibility to work extra shifts to cover for colleagues holidays etc.
Please note that usually the Receptionists work 15-20 hours overtime each month, which often is required on your scheduled day off.
HOURS:
Usual shifts:
• Tuesdays 1pm to 5.30pm
• Wednesdays 7.45am to 1pm
• Thursdays 7.45am to 2pm
• Fridays 2pm to 6.30pm
Key Responsibilities to include:-
• Assisting Patients and Practice Staff with booking appointments
• Dealing with patient and general queries and enquiries
• Opening, scanning and distributing post
• Liaising with Doctors and Nursing team
• Responsibility of opening and closing the Practice
THE CANDIDATE: The ideal candidate for the Part Time Receptionist / Administrator role will be an experienced Receptionist/Administrator. You will demonstrate empathy and professionalism at all times and will have experience of dealing with the public.
You will also be flexible with working hours as additional cover may be required.
Key experience essential for the Part Time Receptionist / Administrator role:
• Previous experience of working in a customer facing, office
or reception environment is essential
• Experience of working on a NHS Reception in GP
setting would be highly desirable
