An opportunity has arisen for an LGV C or CE Local Shunt Driver on days to be based at our clients outbase in Bridgwater.
We understand that our drivers are the integral part of the business where every day you will be face to face with our customers. We really value their staff and offer a friendly working environment, industry leading training programme and a competitive salary.
The position involves:
* Shunting and loading and local deliveries of foodstuffs from Bridgwater to RDC warehouses when required,
* Ensuring that deliveries are made on-time
* Planning route on a day to day basis
* Dealing with customers face to face and over the phone and providing a high level of customer service
* Keeping in regular contact with the transport team for updates on progress and managing our customers' expectations
Personal Attributes:
* You must hold a Large Goods Vehicle (LGV) Licence, Category C or CE
* Current Driver CPC card
* Excellent organisation skills and use to working to deadlines
* Be passionate about providing excellent customer service
* Confident, polite and a team player
* Strong geographical knowledge of the local area
* Due to the nature of the role applicants must be fit, flexible, hardworking and self-motivated
* Annual salary of GBP25,000pa with the option for overtime
* 48 hour week on a rolling 4 on 3 off rota. Working days are Wednesday to Saturday
* Modern and efficient vehicles Gregory's pride themselves on their current fleet and you will be driving high spec, 420 bhp Scania trucks.
