Highbury College is looking for an Employment Services Officer to join their dynamic Professional Careers Academy.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Recruiting for a caseload of live Apprenticeship vacancies across a number of College Sectors.
  • Working with college staff via college events, class drop in sessions, group activities to ensure that Apprenticeships vacancies are filled with the highest calibre student.
  • To effectively maintain and advertise information about apprenticeships, job and work experience vacancies via Web, Social Media, Database & other platforms.
  • To work with students and ex-students (up to a year after leaving Highbury College) in order to support their recruitment into appropriate apprenticeships, employment or work experience.
  • Maintain comprehensive and up to date records of student employment, work experience placements and employer records.
  • Developing existing client relationship to generate new Apprenticeships, Work Experience and Full/Part Time Job Opportunities.
  • Travel throughout the Highbury campuses to meet with students and Highbury employees.
  • Attend industry events, careers fairs, school's events, apprenticeship forums and client interview assessment days.
  • Offer advice and guidance in conjunction with Careers and Admissions Team on Students possibilities and potential next steps

Skills and Experience

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate with all levels from Student to Director
  • An organised, multi tasker who works well under pressure and has a can-do attitude
  • Experience in high volume recruiting across a number of sectors
  • Experience of Apprenticeship (Desirable)
