Maintenance Technician - Days
Role Overview:
The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for carrying out preventative and reactive maintenance.
The successful candidate’s main responsibilities will include:
• To complete both preventative and reactive maintenance tasks as directed by the Maintenance Team Leader
• Complete actions from risk assessments.
• Adhere to Health & Safety regulations at all times ensuring that safety is the number one priority for you and others.
• Liaise with Site Services concerning potential and ongoing projects and provide maintenance resource or technical support.
• Reporting to Maintenance Team Leader on daily plan and issues related to completion of planned maintenance tasks.
• Promote continuous improvement initiatives including 5S and productivity projects.
• Promote quality throughout the maintenance process and help to provide a reliable safe manufacturing facility.
• Maintain flexibility and be willing to help other areas when required.
• Support the Warehouse Crane by responding efficiently to calls and ensure that system is running in a timely manner
• Involved with installations and factory re-layouts.
Qualifications, Experience and Profile:
• GCSE’s including English and Mathematics.
• Good standard of general education and a thorough understanding of English and Mathematics.
• City and Guilds level 3 2330 Electrical Installation, Level 3/4 Mechanical/Maintenance Engineering or working towards these.
You must live within 20 mins of Newtown as the role includes a call out rota, for which a good annual extra allowance and payments are made.
