Our client offers a worldwide design and manufacturing service for high-performance, ruggedised cases and racks used in transport, operation and storage of essential equipment for commercial and military applications. In business for over 40 years with customers ranging from the Rolling Stones to the Royal Navy, our client’s products are successfully used in a huge variety of applications.
Right now our client is looking for a Technical Sales Engineer to work within the sales team alongside their friendly, fast paced Design and Production Teams, delivering an exciting array of products, across a number of industrial sectors.
As a core member of the Sales Team your duties and responsibilities will include

  • Key account management.
  • Providing assistance to our current UK and Overseas sales leads.
  • Preparation of technical quotations.
  • Ensuring agreed sales targets are met.
  • Following up leads generated at exhibitions and from the internet in addition to direct lead generation.
  • Attendance at key exhibitions.
  • Ensure repeat and new orders by gaining trust and listening to the decisions maker’s needs.
  • Maintain database and customer records.
  • Providing exemplary customer service at all times

Mainly office based the role will require the provision of technical support, providing an opportunity for you to expand beyond a narrow sales remit. This will require you to have the potential to absorb and project technical information and grow or sustain strong business development and commercial skills.

Requirements:
You will be able to set high standards for all aspects of sales to include written and verbal communications, quotations and provision of technical information.
Our client’s success is based on achieving the highest standards in everything they do, so you need to be a good communicator, have a good working knowledge of materials and processes and be a team player.
Knowledge and experience of manufacturing materials and processes would be an advantage.
You will be familiar with the demands of selling a range of engineered products in a B2B environment.
You will have excellent computer skills and a good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leader in the field, in return a very competitive package comprising of a salary of between £30k to £35k per annum (negotiable), depending on experience, 20 days' (increasing to 25) holiday plus bank holidays, Pension Plan with up to 5% employer contributions.
