RESPONSIBILITIES;

- Coordinates and directs various manufacturing, assembly and machining operations to obtain planned departmental goals relating to safety, quality, and productivity.

- Has direct accountability for manufacturing performance with regards to cell outputs, plan adherence, On Time Delivery to customer, Right First Time performance and other related measures throughout the site.

- Production: Ensures correct and most efficient utilisation of site resources to achieve required output goals.

- Safety: Promotes and maintains a safe plant environment through daily observations of respective departments to ensure safe work habits are followed and good housekeeping is maintained.

- Quality: Achieves plant quality objectives by conforming to established quality procedures.

- Team Leadership: Motivates subordinates by using situational leadership techniques, providing required training, and supplying the necessary tools, and equipment to perform job tasks. Provides input to recruitment, performance management, corrective actions and personal development of staff.

- Scheduling & Planning: Works alongside the Production co-ordinators to implement plans for required manufacturing output by cell and machine centres.

- Actively looks to improve processes, removes wastes and promote continuous improvement throughout the site.

- Directly supervises 0-50 employees.

- Other responsibilities as assigned or required.

Must haves;

- CNC Setting and Operating experience is essential for this role along with good communication skills and the ability to effectively manage a team of production employees, previous staff leadership experience is essential for this role.

- Must have experience within a Mechanical Manufacturing environment.

- GCSE/O Level or equivalent in Mathematics and English required

- Can demonstrate skills related to; Process Improvement, Verbal Communication, Functional and Technical Skills, Controls and Instrumentation, Supply Management, Tooling, Coordination of staff and materials, Inventory Control, Attention to Detail, Judgement
