Assistant Quantity Surveyor

Persimmon Homes West Wales requires an Assistant Quantity Surveyor ideally with house-building experience to join our Commercial team based at our office in Swansea, to assist in the financial management of sites, through effective and efficient controls, assist in carrying out interim valuations, participate in tendering, raise subcontract orders, process payments and liaise with other departments.

The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate quantity surveying skills. They must have Commercial awareness, an eye for detail, are reliable, demonstrates effective cost control/reconciliation skills, be a team player, organised, enthusiastic and have a positive attitude.

The applicant should also be ambitious and determined to build a long term career with this progressive regional business.

The successful candidate will have at least 2 years experience as a trainee/assistant quantity surveyor, sound knowledge of cost control, tendering process and commercial aspects of construction/house building.
