Mobile Technical Staff - HGV/PSV
Description
We are recruiting for a Skilled Coach Builder for our client in the Harlow area. The purpose of the role is to help deliver excellent customer service by repairing and maintaining Company vehicles to the standard required by the Company and Department of Transport, in order to achieve maximum vehicle availability. At all times work in a safe manner as stated in current legislation and company policies and procedures.
All prospective candidates must have knowledge and previous experience of vehicle bodywork repairs and maintenance procedures, ideally on HGV, PCV or Buses.
Duties & Responsibilities
1. To Repair of all company vehicles including buses, trucks, vans and coaches
2. Work effectively unsupervised and often with only an outline brief, using specialist or practical skills to complete a timely solution
3. Receive, handle safely, store or deploy materials appropriate to the task being undertaken
4. Supply own hand tools and take responsibility for specialist tools, materials etc that are used and observe a duty of care for all other items within the department
5. The ability to undertake paint spraying would be an advantage but not essential
The role is a Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm shift with regular overtime available.
This is a long term contract / temporary position but the company will also consider employing an engineer on a permanent basis as well.
