This excellent SEN school located in Plymouth are looking to appoint an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to support all classes and age groups on a supply basis, which could potentially turn into a long term basis. This school is a specialist school which caters for young people who have special educational needs such as PMLD, ASD, complex needs, medical needs and challenging behaviours. You will be required to work with young people in mixed classes and on a 1:1 basis.

The right candidate will have experienced within an SEN school and supporting young people with PMLD at either primary or secondary level, ideally for a minimum of a year. Experience with Makaton would be advantageous for this role. Experience with mainstream SEN experience will also be considered but it is essential for all applicants to have enthusiasm, flexibility and passion for working with young people who have SEN. This will be a demanding yet extremely rewarding role and there are excellent promotion opportunities.
