My client based in Bedford is currently looking for an experienced Architectural Assistant/Technologist to join their team.
The company are a multi-disciplined architectural practice specialising within commercial and residential architecture and civil engineering for example. The company prides themselves on having a wide breadth of experience and expertise within the company and are currently expanding their divisions and offices, and so it is an exciting time to join.
The role:
To support the design teams in the delivery of numerous projects within the commercial division with projects such as retail, education, offices, mixed use residential and high end luxury fit outs for example. Undertake a range of architectural duties including the preparing of surveys, plans, specifications and drawings and to ensure the effective and timely delivery of the projects.
Essential requirements:
• Part 1 - 2 RIBA Qualified or CIAT with minimum 5 years + post qualification experience
• Commercial architectural experience - e.g. retail, education, offices, mixed use residential, luxury retail fit outs, warehouse etc.
• Strong past design and interior architectural experience and skills
• Proficient with AutoCAD and 3D modelling software
• Skilled with running and overseeing a project
• Strong technical background
• Fantastic communication skills at all levels - able to maintain client relationships
• Full UK driving licence
• Willing to travel if the projects requires
Desirable skills:
• Knowledge of Revit, Sketch-up, Photoshop and relevant presentation software
• Proficient in writing NBS specifications
The salary for this position is paying around the GBP25,000 per annum mark, depending on experience and skill set, but is negotiable for the right candidate.
