Bettridge School is an all age special school for pupils with severe and complex learning difficulties. Lettings Caretaker Grade C (£15,447-£15,807 p.a. pro-rata)
We are looking for a Lettings Caretaker to work a Friday evening 3.00-8.00pm and a Saturday 8.30am-6.30pm (Saturday is paid at time and a half), all year round. This equates to 19.25 hours per week with an annual salary of approx. £8,131.
The work involves opening the school and monitoring the premises, dealing with lettings and external users of the building during periods of hire, cleaning of areas used, management of parking and security of the building and cleaning of other areas of the school when lettings are not taking place as directed by the Site Manager. Attention to security is very important to ensure there is no unauthorised access during the hire period. Lettings consist of pool hire, soft play parties and hall/other room hire with some very busy periods so good interpersonal skills and a head for multi-tasking are essential. Applicants need to be versatile and enthusiastic. A flexible approach is required on occasions throughout the year including being able to cover for staff absence, if necessary, on evenings and weekends.
To apply, please click the apply button to be directed - where you will find the application form and more information about the school. Applications must be on the Bettridge School Application Form (CVs are not accepted), to be received by 4pm on the closing date.
This school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, and expects all staff, and volunteers, to share the same commitment. This position is subject to an enhanced DBS check.
