Our client is currently seeking a CAD Operator who will provide design support for large commercial Biomass, Biomass CHP, Gas CHP projects within the MW market, both pre and post order, to ensure the delivery of the correct specification and performance required by the customer.
Key responsibilities include:
- Design support for Biomass, CHP projects, ensuring fitness for purpose of proposed biomass designs
- Working in both 2D (AutoCAD) and 3D (Inventor) to produce plant layout drawings, hydraulic schematics and pipework layouts with assistance from other staff
- Utilising AutoDesk Vault to manage 3D models and 2D drawings as well as creation of project Bills of Material
- Producing designs in a timely manner and providing accurate indicative timescales for work
- Working on LTHW installations and steam boiler plant
- Evolving designs during the course of a project to overcome issues on site
- Incorporating knowledge of building techniques to advise on plant room civils and construction requirements
Required
- Proven knowledge and experience of AutoCAD 2D
- Proven knowledge and experience in AutoDesk Vault
- Sound knowledge of civil and mechanical engineering
- Inventor 3D CAD would be advantageous
Package:
Salary GBP30,000 - GBP40,000 DOE
